Bohams London Fine Jewellery Sale is full of illustrious and beautiful diamonds and colorful gemstones. Items will include a rare and beautiful diamond ring by Piaget, which is set to be the main focal point of the sale.
This diamond ring has an excellent clarity grade (VVS2) and the top color grade for white diamonds. It is also classified as chemically pure and given a Type IIa grading by GIA. This 8.97 carat marquise cut stone is expected to sell at £250,000-£350,000.
Colored gemstones are still highly desirable amongst collectors, and the sale of Colombian emerald and Burmese sapphire rings will surely draw attention of collectors.
Described as being of “exceptional color”, the 10.49 carat emerald is estimated to sell for £150,000-£200,000. A similar top price is predicted for the cushion-cut sapphire ring, which also features two demi-lune shaped diamonds.
Other exceptional lots at the sale include a step cut Fancy Yellow diamond ring that weighs in an impressive 24.59 carats, and an “Orange Tree” brooch made by cartier that is complete with cabochon ruby “fruits”.
